    We continue our study of plants. This week will head to River Bend forfocus on Earth Day with a 5th grade buddy scavenger hunt, pollination, and our last time on Thursday, April 19th. Kiddos will need gear for the weather.seed observation journals. We are outside nearly the entire time. Who knows if it will be muddy or snowy! You have already paid for this tripsome sprouts and can't wait to show you our bean stalks next week!
    Tuesday, we will
    have signed the permission form. We leave after breakfast andKool Kids come back before lunch.
    Plant parts are the focus
    to help us develop a better understanding of those with special needs. They do an amazing job of our exploration and writing this week. We will learn and label plant parts and discuss different foods we eat that come fromgiving the garden. We will taste roots, stems,kiddos an opportunity to paint without hands, unwrap without fingers, and flowers on Friday!
    Friday: Library Day

    Fluency Folder (bags)- These bags contain kindergarten sight words/sentences on different colored papers. Once your child can read the pink, the next color will be sent home. The bag also contains 2 "just right" books for your kiddo to read with you! I ask that you spend 5-10 minutes reading something from the bag each school night. I have a log for you to sign and return on Fridays. We will then refill the bag with new reading material for the next week. This counts toward your reading minutes on our monthly reading logs and will help your child immeasurably with their reading progress! Thank you so much!

    We continuewill head to plant seeds, document their growth, and discuss life cycles this week!River Bend for our last time on Thursday, April 19th. Kiddos will need gear for the weather.
